Case of the Mondays #27: Bryce Amphitheater

Another Monday, folks! It's been quite a week since the last Case of the Mondays update. The car has been fixed (more or less), I got out of Lone Pine, got stood up in Vegas, checked out Zion National Park and last evening got to Bryce Canyon National Park. Show must go on! And it went on, alright! Today, I have a special treat for you - a panoramic view of Bryce Amphitheater I shot last night.

I have seen quite a few amazing, astonishing and simply mind blowing things on my travels. And so far the little I have seen of Bryce is quickly making it skyrocket to the top of that list.

But I will let you be the judge.

Open up the full screen panorama and enjoy!

Contrary to its name, Bryce is not actually a canyon because it was not carved out by a river like a typical canyon. Instead, the amazing shapes you saw in front of you are the result of pretty much all the other types of erosion, mainly from summer rains and ice water during colder times of the year. Throw in some wind erosion and you got yourself this marvelous landscape.

I gotta jet out of this coffee shop, but feel free to check out few more Case of the Mondays panoramas before you get back to whatever you were doing before this unceremonious interruption.

p.s. I have just added my location widget on the home page of the site. Have you seen it? More importantly, are you seeing me coming your way? Give me a holler!
